Rescue

Had a wonderful stake conference.

One of the themes was that of rescue.

All to often we want to build fences up to protect us from those we consider sinners. When in reality this is not the Lord's way.

Christ went to those who were sick both spiritually and physically. He labored amongst them and loved them.

If we isolate ourselves from those who need our help; how will we ever help them.

This was the spirit behind the church's recent stand on the discrimination ordinance. While I may have issues based upon property rights, I think the message we all need to know is that we cannot isolate ourselves from those who need our help.
